Mango smoothie with chia seeds
Fresh, tropical, and nutritious: this mango smoothie with chia seeds and fresh mint is the perfect boost for any time of day. The mango provides a natural sweetness, while the chia seeds contribute to a long-lasting feeling of fullness. Topped with crunchy coconut flakes for a delicious crunch: simple, pure.
Ingredients (2 glasses)
- 250 g mango (preferably frozen)
- 1 small banana (optional, but make it soft)
- 250–300 ml almond milk or (coconut) water
- 1–1.5 tbsp chia seeds
- Juice of ½ lime
- Ice cubes (only necessary if you're not using frozen mango)
Topping - 1–2 tbsp coconut flakes
- Extra mint leaves (optional)
Preparation
Place the mango, almond milk, lime juice, mint, and chia seeds in a blender. Blend for 40–60 seconds until smooth. Time to taste: add a splash of almond milk if you prefer a thinner consistency. Pour into glasses and garnish with coconut flakes and, if desired, a small mint leaf.
